ROUND ROCK, Texas – Pick a stat – any stat – from the RedHawks' game at Round Rock on Sunday and it pretty much tells the story.
Oklahoma City dropped a 14-2 contest against the Express, playing sloppy in the field and having trouble producing enough offense to keep up.
The RedHawks committed five errors in the game and also allowed 15 hits.
Three different Round Rock players racked up at least three RBIs and six had two or more hits.
Ironically, OKC got on the board first, but only because it started off the first inning. Collin DeLome scored on a throwing error by the Round Rock catcher, but the OKC lead was short-lived.
Round Rock scored six unanswered before Oklahoma City could attempt to respond in the sixth.
Once again, the RedHawks scored on a throwing error. But the bottom of the sixth sealed the deal as the Express rocked OKC for eight runs in the inning.
The RedHawks pitching staff shared the wealth, with three pitchers giving up at least four runs. Sergio Perez was credited with the loss, giving up seven hits and six runs in four innings.
Oklahoma City plays on the road against at 7:05 p.m. against Round Rock.
