OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Barons got its first look at the 2011-12 schedule and this season will include six additional home games.
This year the Barons will host a total of 38 home games which begin with the season opener on October 15 inside the Cox Convention Center.
In addition to the home opener, the Barons will play at home October 28, November 18, December 9, December 31 (New Years Eve) and January 27. These dates are in addition to the Barons home game slated for November 8, which has been designated as Field Trip Day.
"Learning of our six dates in advance is unique," said John Allgood, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "This allows for our fan to plan in advance of the full season schedule being released. All of these dates are exceptional opportunities for our fans and we are particularly excited about New Years Eve."
The AHL gives each of their member clubs six guaranteed home dates in advance of the release of the complete schedule. Opponents for these dates are not known until the release of the complete schedule later this summer.

The 2011-12 AHL schedule will begin October 7, with each team playing a 76-games.
