Grass Fire Threatens SE Guthrie Residents

GUTHRIE, Oklahoma -- Firefighters evacuated some residents of Guthrie Sunday night as a grass fire threatened parts of that town.

Firefighters were called to the scene of a grass fire at the intersection of Industrial and Pine on the city's southeast side about 8 p.m.

Sheriff's deputies began evacuating nearby residents.

The fire was brought under control about 9:45 p.m. a sheriff's department spokesman said.

There have been no reports of injuries or structures damaged.
