Arizona DB Jonathan McKnight Out For Season

TUCSON, Arizona – University of Arizona defensive back Jonathan McKnight will miss the 2011 season with an ACL tear, coach Mike Stoops said Thursday.

McKnight, a sophomore, was a starter on defense and special teams for the Wildcats.

He was the only cornerback currently locked into a starting spot for Arizona.

McKnight played in all 13 games last season as a true freshman returning kicks and as a backup at cornerback.

Senior Trevin Wade and sophomore Shaquille Richardson will likely take over at the cornerback spots.

Arizona travels to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State on Thursday, Sept. 8.
