OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City high school basketball coach has been arrested for allegedly having a sexual relationship with an underage female student, according to the arrest warrant released on Friday.
Tyrone Lamont Nash, 32, is a teacher and the boys' basketball coach at Western Heights Public School District. He now faces ten counts of first degree rape, and five counts of forcible oral sodomy.
According to court documents, the victim said the relationship started a year and half ago when she was a sophomore. She said she got drunk at a party one night, and Nash offered her a ride. According to the victim, Nash did not ask where to take her. He took the victim back to his house and had sex with her that night.
According to court documents, the victim said since her sophomore year, she had received many text messages from Nash asking if she can come out. She estimated Nash had sex with her over 20 times during the past year and half.
The victim came forward this week, telling the school officials about the relationship.
According to the arrest warrant, Nash is now suspended from the school due to the allegations while the investigation is pending. He is now in Oklahoma County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
