Man Accused Of Setting OKC Woman On Fire Charged With Murder

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A man who allegedly set his ex-girlfriend on fire is formally charged in the case.

Vincent Green is charged with first degree murder and first degree arson. According to police, Green set fire to his ex-girlfriend, 46-year-old Sherrie Mead, Labor Day weekend.

Mead died during surgery in an Oklahoma City hospital Saturday.

Oklahoma City Police said that Mead was sleeping when Green poured kerosene on her and set her on fire.

Mead was burned over 38 percent of her body.

Green is being held in the Oklahoma County Jail.
