OKLAHOMA CITY – City officials have decided to close part of May Avenue in Oklahoma City due to a street-widening project.
According to officials, North May Avenue from Northwest 192 to the city limits(one-half mile north) will be closed from October 17 through January 30, 2012, so crews can widen the street.
City officials say detour signs will be in place, and travelers are advised to find alternate routes.
The $1.7 million widening project is funded through the 2007 General Obligation Bond Authorization.
