Man Barricades Self Inside Northwest OKC Apartment

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police working a standoff with a man barricaded in a northwest Oklahoma City apartment have found him dead, but the bomb squad has been called to check the apartment.

Police were called Thursday afternoon to the Drexel on the Park Apartments in the 4200 block of N. Drexel to check on the man's welfare. When they arrived, they heard two gunshots, and the man refused to come out of his apartment.

Police have evacuated the surrounding apartments and tried to convince the man to come out.

Police have not released the man's identity.
