Crowd Pleasing Chili
3 pounds ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic
1 seasoning pack (I like Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit)
1 teaspoon cayenne (if you like it hot)
1 large can fire roasted tomatoes
1 large can tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
1/2 a can of beer
2 cups canned pinto beans, drained
1/4 cup masa
1. In a large stock pot combine all of the ingredients. Cook on medium, using a potato masher work in all of the ingredients. Continue cooking till simmering. Allow to cook 45 minutes and then add in masa to thicken. Stir in beans and return to heat.
2. *All of this can be done in a crockpot. Just add masa and beans 30 minutes before serving.
