The wife of a former prison warden has been sentenced to one year in prison for helping an inmate escape from a prison in Granite 17 years ago.

A jury convicted Bobbi Parker on September 21 of helping Randolph Dial break out of the Oklahoma State Reformatory in 1994. Jurors recommended she be sentenced to one year.

On Monday, a Greer County District Court judge upheld their recommendation, sentencing her to one year in prison with credit for time served.  She's been behind bars since she was convicted.

The State presented argument to deny appeal bond and it was denied.  The Court has ordered Parker to pay for costs associated with the trial.

Prosecutors said Parker fell in love with Dial in and helped him escape. The two were found in 2005 living together in Campti, Texas, on a chicken ranch. Defense attorneys said Dial abducted Parker and held her hostage.
