MANGUM, Oklahoma – A jury has found Bobbi Parker guilty of helping an inmate escape from a prison in Granite, Oklahoma, back in 1994.  The jury recommended she be sentenced to one year in prison.

Jurors deliberated for two days before convicting her. Parker, 49, was married to a warden at the Oklahoma State Reformatory and living on prison grounds with her family back in 1994. Prosecutors say she fell in love with inmate Randolph Dial while working with him in a prison pottery program. They claim she helped him escape and ran away with him.

The defense contends Dial actually kidnapped Parker and held her hostage until the two were found in 2005 at a chicken ranch in Campti, Texas.

Bobbi Parker is still married to her husband, Randy. The couple has two daughters.

Randolph Dial died in 2007.

The judge is expected to sentence to Parker soon.
