NORMAN, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma women's basketball finished the exhibition season with a dominant 100-50 over Grand Canyon Thursday.
Grand Canyon took the lead at the start of the game, but it was all Sooners from there. Down 5-3, Oklahoma responded with a 20-5 run to take control and never looked back.
The Sooners led 33-23 at halftime, but the dominance was only getting started. They scored 67 points in the second half, including another 20-5 run at one point.
OU played a total of 10 players, and nine of them scored. Six Sooners scored in double figures, led by Sharane Campbell and Aaryn Ellenberg with 21 points each.
The Sooners won both of their exhibition games by a combined score of 186-102. They will begin the regular season against Sacramento State at 2 p.m. Sunday in Norman.
