I realize there are so many more important decisions my husband and I will be making in regards to having and raising a baby. But right now, deciding on a name seems to be top of the list… at least it's what always comes up in our conversations… and we're stuck!
It all started at week 17 when the ultrasound showed something that indicated we weren't having a girl. We already had a girl's name perfectly picked… but a boy? We had nothing.
And we learned early on to be cautious sharing our name ideas. We had one we thought would work, but when we told our family on both sides the name, we got the same reaction, "You can't name him that!"
They proceeded to tell me why the kid would be made fun of. They were probably right, but it was back to square 1.
I appreciate suggestions. I just got one from a sweet 12-year-old girl who wrote me hers. "Gary Kelly Taylor". I think I may need a few more!
