Oklahoma City Man Says 'Marry Me' With Christmas Lights

Tiffany Burke thought she was going to see Christmas lights in Northwest Oklahoma City. What she didn't know was her boyfriend had a question he was burning to ask her.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Tiffany Burke thought she was going to see Christmas lights in Northwest Oklahoma City. After all, thousands of people drive to 2100 N. Markwell Ave. every year to see the houses decked out in lights.

What Tiffany didn't know was her boyfriend, Chad Lester, had a question he was burning to ask her. Under some 150,000 twinkling lights, synchronized to music, Chad asked Tiffany to marry him. Dozens of on-lookers watched with joy.

"I did not know what was happening," Tiffany said. "I felt bad blocking people's driveways. I have never been more surprised!"

She said yes.

"It worked out perfect," Chad proclaimed. "I was really nervous. I didn't know whether the timing was going to work out, but it worked out perfectly!"
