Alexander Player of The Year, 17 Sooners And Cowboys Named All-Conference

NEW YORK -- The postseason awards keep rolling in for Oklahoma senior Frank Alexander, being named the Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press Thursday. Additionally, ten Cowboys and seven Sooners were selected as All-Big 12 by the 17 voting members.

There were just two unanimous selections to the all-conference team, Alexander and Oklahoma State wide receiver Justin Blackmon, who recently announced his intentions to declare for the NFL Draft.

Defensive Player of the Year: Frank Alexander, Oklahoma

Offensive Newcomer of the Year: Malcolm Brown, Texas

Defensive Newcomer of the Year: Arthur Brown, Kansas State
