Sooners Focused On Basketball With Finals Over

OKLAHOMA CITY – Some OU coaches described the time after finals as similar to a pro athlete's schedule.

There are no classes and the only studying is done in the basketball film rooms.

Because classes are not on the forefront of players' minds during the holiday break, teams can often plug in extra facets of practice in order to better prepare for games.

Lon Kruger said that's the case with his team this week.

The Sooners face the Houston Cougars as part of the All-College Classic Saturday night in OKC, and OU players and coaches said the extra time on the practice court is going to be beneficial.
