STILLWATER, Oklahoma – The Cowgirls had no trouble keeping their undefeated season alive on Sunday afternoon, this time with a 74-35 win against Texas-Pan American.
OSU has held an average margin of victory of 28 points through its six games this season.
Oklahoma State had some time off – it hadn't played since Dec. 8 due to finals week – and certainly looked refreshed if a bit rusty in the game.
The Cowgirls actually got a bit sloppy at times with 23 turnovers but made up for it on the defensive end, holding the Broncos to 23 percent shooting on the game.
OSU was never seriously challenged from the start of the game, jumping out to a 10-2 lead and holding a 22-point margin at halftime.
The Cowgirls were able to share the wealth, with 11 players registering double-digit minutes in the game.
Several starters and key players didn't exactly see a whole lot of minutes, but put up some big numbers in the time they had.
Toni Young had 17 points and five boards in 15 minutes of play, and Vicki McIntyre had 13 points in 18 minutes.
Lindsey Keller and Liz Donohoe also reached double digits in scoring.
Oklahoma State held a huge rebounding edge at 54-22 and easily topped the Broncos in almost every statistical category.
OSU has two nonconference games left before starting Big 12 play. The Cowgirls' next opponent will be Arkanasas-Pine Bluff, who they will host on Thursday at 7 p.m.
