For some military families, the holiday season is a hard time of year.
On Tuesday, Operation Homefront teamed up with the Hudiburg Auto Group to host a Christmas event. Twenty eight Oklahoma families, including 78 kids were at the event where they enjoyed a buffet barbeque lunch.
For those whose loved ones are still deployed, they got a video message on big screen TV's.
"I haven't seen him, I didn't hear it at first and it still made me cry," said Jilliam Meek, whose husband is deployed.
Each kid that attended also got $50 in gifts from Santa Claus, and families got gift cards to the commissary.
