Running Back David Smith Commits To Oklahoma

The Bremen High School running back David Smith announced Tuesday that he would be committing to the University of Oklahoma, joining Alex Ross as the second running back of the class.

The six-foot, 190-pound runner had narrowed his choices down to the Sooners and the soon-to-be Big 12 school West Virginia before announcing his choice Tuesday afternoon. Smith is the 38th-ranked running back in the nation and the No. 11 recruit in the state of Illinois.

Smith is the 19th prep commit to the Sooners' 2012 class, leaving space for the possible additions as National Signing Day approaches.
