During the height of Tuesday night's severe weather, EMSA crews were racing across the metro helping people in distress.
EMSA reported that between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. its crews responded to 95 calls, including eight calls for people who were injured during the storm. Six people were hit by hail, one person suffered a cut on the hand due to broken glass, and one person was hit by a loose road sign while seeking shelter under an overpass.

Paramedics also rushed to 15 motor vehicle accidents. In one of the crashes, a woman was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. EMSA says the woman stepped out of her vehicle and was hit by a car that hydroplaned.
EMSA was also affected by the storm. Five of its ambulances received hail damage, including two broken windshields.
