Residential Firework bans are in effect in several central Oklahoma cities, but some places are allowing them with restrictions.

Residential Firework bans are in effect in several central Oklahoma cities, but some places are allowing them with restrictions.

The city of Guthrie is allowing it's residents to light off their personal fireworks with the purchase a $15 dollar permit.

As of Monday afternoon, the city had sold 35 permits.

Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, Moore, Yukon all have residential fireworks bans in place for the holiday. In fact, you can't even posses fireworks in Oklahoma City.

Mustang is once again allowing people to light their personal fireworks within city limits.

There are unincorporated part of Oklahoma County where people can purchase fireworks and set them off.

In Logan County, several firework stands are no operating because of less strict firework rules.

"Everyone brings their own fireworks, BYOF," Robin Mills said. She said she is having a party at her house on the north side of Waterloo in Logan County.
