Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) crews managed to shut down a medium-pressure gas leak that forced several people to leave their homes in northwest Oklahoma City.
The leak was reported around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday just east of N. Meridian Ave. in the 4200 block of N.W. 30th Street. Natural gas was seen spewing into the air.
Six homes within two blocks were evacuated while hazmat crews contained the scene. It took ONG crews several hours to shut off the gas.
No one was hurt.
