Crash In Midwest City Briefly Cuts Power To Customers

Police say a woman was driving too fast early Thursday morning when she lost control and crashed into three utility poles near S.E. 29th Street and Westminster.

Police say a woman was driving too fast early Thursday morning when she lost control and crashed into three utility poles near S.E. 29th Street and Westminster.

The woman slammed into the poles in Midwest City around 2 a.m. The vehicle rolled over, throwing the woman out and landing on top of her.

Emergency crews pulled the woman from the wreckage. A medical helicopter flew her to a nearby hospital. Her condition is not known and her name has not been released.

The crash cut power to several customers in the area. OG&E crews arrived soon after the accident repaired the power poles.
