Piedmont police have canceled a silver alert for a woman who was reported missing since Monday afternoon. Mary Garvin has been found safe, officials said.
Mary Garvin, 71, reportedly had been missing since 2 p.m. Monday. Police say she was wearing a red western style shirt, blue jeans, and blue tennis shoes. She has curly brown hair.
According to police, Garvin cannot ascertain directions in the dark. She is under proven medical or physical disability, and officers believe she was in imminent danger of serious bodily injury or death.
