A former Valley Brook police chief who was fired following an arrest for meth has pleaded guilty to drug charges. He was given a 10-year suspended sentence.

According to authorities, 49-year-old Melvin Fisher was fired from the police department in May, 2012. He was charged last Labor Day with drug possession and drug trafficking after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol pulled him over in Creek County during a traffic stop.
Department of Corrections released a new photo of Melvin Fisher, which shows that he has lost a lot of weight, and looks much different than he did just after his arrest.
According to court documents, Fisher pleaded guilty to drug charges last month in Creek County. He was given a 10-year suspended sentence and now has to check in with a probation officer.
