An Ada man was killed after he crashed his pickup truck on a county road in Pontotoc County early Sunday morning.
It happened at 6:40 a.m. on a county road about four miles west of Ada in Pontotoc County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2007 Chevy Pickup driven by 44-year-old Clayton M. Hillman was eastbound on a county road, when it ran off the right side of the road. Troopers say Hillman overcorrected and the pickup went into a broadslide.
The truck then struck a ditch, overturned one and half time, and came to rest on its top.
Hillman was pinned inside the truck for an unknown amount of time before being freed. He was pronounced dead at the scene from massive injuries. He was transported to Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, according to the OHP collision report.
Hillman's condition at the time of the crash is unknown. Troopers say the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
