Oklahoma County Sheriff's deputies arrested three people following a chase in northwest Oklahoma City.
The three suspects have been identified as 26-year-old Louis Austin, 46-year-old James Hiett, and 25-year-old Shalimar Plumley.
Around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy spotted a driver, Austin, making an unsafe lane change on Northwest Expressway near MacArthur. He tried to pull over the vehicle, but Austin refused to stop, and the deputy pursued.
After a brief car chase that lasted about a mile, the vehicle stopped at a motel in the 6600 block of Northwest Expressway. The passenger, Hiett, stayed in the car, and deputies immediately arrested him.
Austin jumped out of the vehicle and ran. Deputies searched the area and eventually found and arrested him.
Deputies searched the suspects' car and found a loaded handgun. They also searched a room at the motel where the driver had been staying with a woman, Plumley.
Deputies say they found drugs inside the room. They arrested Plumley for outstanding municipal warrants.
Officers also discovered that Austin has several outstanding warrants, including one for being an accessory to murder in the first degree.
