Two fires, a wall collapse and lots of other problems. A metro couple says they're stuck paying the rent on a damaged home. With all the issues, they say the landlord isn't helping. And they say all this drama unfolded in less than two months.
1309 City Avenue was supposed to be dream home for the Norman couple, but they say it's more like the nightmare before Christmas.
After the fires and wall collapse, they called the property management company, Ok Houses For Rent, but tell News 9 they didn't get far.
"They tell us we won't like what they have to say and they hang up on us," said Robin Golden.
Under the Landlord Tenant Act, after you notify the landlord they have two weeks to get the problem fixed. If the problem isn't fixed, you can terminate your lease.
