Fire Damages Del City Home

A resident escaped safely Monday morning from a burning house in Del City, along with the family pets.

The fire began around 7 a.m. at Teal Drive and Breckenridge Drive. When firefighters arrived, they found flames and heavy smoke coming from the house. They quickly doused the fire.

A resident and two dogs escaped, unharmed, from the burning house. It's not known yet what started the fire.
