Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation arrested a Midwest City man accused of sharing sexually explicit images of children over the Internet.

Agents arrested 61-year-old Freddy Edwards Wednesday morning at his home in the 700 block of Jet Drive. The investigation began when a Guthrie police officer discovered Edwards was distributing pornographic images of children. During the investigation, Edwards shared some of those images with the officer.

Members of the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force obtained a search warrant for Edwards' home. While there, they discovered more child pornography images. The computers were sent to the OSBI Computer Crimes Unit for further investigation. Agents are trying to determine if any of the children seen in the pictures live in the area.

Police booked Edwards into the Oklahoma County jail on two counts of possession of child pornography, and one count of violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
