Security Guard Shoots Man At Del City Apartment Complex

Police say a security guard at a Del City apartment complex shot a man Wednesday night when the man tried to run down another security guard.

The call went out around 9 p.m. to the Oak Ridge Apartments near S.E. 29th Street and Bryant.

According to police, a security guard walked up to the man and asked him to leave. Witnesses said that's when the man tried to ram the guard with his car. Another guard fired a shot at the man, hitting him in the neck.

An ambulance transported the wounded man to a hospital, where he is listed in serious condition. The man's name has not been released.
