GRADY COUNTY, Oklahoma -- Grady County officials say 74-year-old Allen Byfield was spotted in Caddo County, Thursday morning, after being missing since Tuesday afternoon.
A silver alert was issued for Byfield on Tuesday.
Sheriff Jim Weir of the Grady County Sheriff's Office says a highway patrol officer spotted Byfield around 10 a.m. asking for directions to Chickasha.
Weir says Byfield suffers from Alzheimer's disease and is taking dementia medication. He believes Byfield could be in serious danger.
"Well, my fear is he's going to run out of money and run out of gas," Weir said. "And he'll be out in the middle of nowhere, and if the temperature could drop, then he could succumb to the elements."

Weir says Byfield was last seen on Tuesday at 721 County Road 1310 in Chickasha. Byfield was also spotted in Elgin around 8 p.m. on Wednesday night and Thursday morning at a store in Cyril. Deputies believe Byfield was headed east on State Highway 19 near State Highway 58.
Byfield is about 5' 10" tall and was last seen wearing a long-sleeved plaid flannel shirt with blue jeans, a baseball cap and glasses. He drives a gray 2006 Dodge pickup truck with a broken taillight on the driver's side. His Oklahoma tag is 819GZR.
Authorities say Byfield has a gray Yorkshire Terrier with him too.
