Police release surveillance pictures of a man accused in a brutal stabbing.
It happened on February 5 after the victim met the suspect at the Union Bus Station downtown. The two were only acquaintances, police say. However, the victim gave the suspect a ride home after a quick stop at a convenience store. The picture released is from the store's surveillance camera.
Police said after the two arrived at the suspect's house, the suspect stabbed the victim seven times with a pocket knife, nearly killing him.
The victim has recovered, but police are still looking for the suspect. If you have any information or recognize the man, call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
