The Grady County Sheriff's Office captured an escaped inmate Tuesday morning as he attempted to hide out at a friend's house in Blanchard.
Dillon Lindsey escaped Monday from a medical clinic near Grady Memorial Hospital. The 20 year old was in jail awaiting trial on drug and weapons charges, but was taken to the clinic for medical treatment.
According to deputies, Lindsey escaped from a jailer. The Grady County Sheriff's Office worked with the Oklahoma Highway, Chickasha Police Department and other law enforcement agencies to set up a perimeter and conduct a door-to-door search, and rain residents about the escape.
Deputies say Lindsay stole a car in the Friend area Tuesday morning. Deputies spotted the car and pursued him. Lindsey eventually bailed out of the vehicle and ran. With assistance from Oklahoma City's police helicopter and Blanchard Police, deputies caught Lindsey as he attempted to go to his friend's home.
Deputies say additional charges will be filed against Lindsey.
