Lady Bison Eighth In Opener

The Oklahoma Baptist women's golf team finished eighth in the 13-team SCAD Spring Invitational Tuesday with a two-round 672.

Marissa Cones and Whitney Manley both placed 16th to lead the Lady Bison, shooting identical 76s and 84s for a 16-over par 160 apiece.

Taylor Fine was 51st at 175,s hooting 85 and 90. Ashton Gores shot 93 and 85 for 178 and 56th place while Gabriella Dellick was 60th at 184, shooting 95 and 89.

Host Savannah College of Art and Design won the tournament with a 615.

Next action for the Lady Bison is March 18-19 at the Embry-Riddle Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fla.
