The dog who was thrown off an Oklahoma City bridge in December suffered a setback in his recovery.
A German shepherd named "Rookie" was thrown from a bridge on S.E. 59th Street down to Interstate 40 on December 5, 2012. Rookie had surgery to fix a broken leg. He was adopted by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper who found him.
Right now, "Rookie" is in recovery following another surgery. The bone in one of his legs was replaced on Friday with a rod.
Meantime, the search continues for the person who assaulted "Rookie."
Anyone with information should call the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office. There's a $7,500 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
