Oklahoma City University swept Oklahoma Wesleyan 4-0 and 4-1 Tuesday at Ann Lacy Stadium.
The Stars, ranked No. 4 in NAIA softball, shut out the Lady Eagles 4-0 in the first game and got a walk-off home run from Angela Lovelady to take the second game 4-1 and improve to 18-4 on the season.
OCU got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third inning when Tori Joyner and Shelbi Legg scored on an error to make the score 2-0. Later in the inning Drew Wright singled to left field and plated Kyndra Holasek to stretch the Stars' lead to 3-0.
Jamie Rateliff singled in the bottom of the sixth to drive in Magean De La Torre and give OCU a 4-0 advantage.
Elizabeth Oberst retired the side in the top of the seventh and gave the Stars the 4-0 victroy. Oberst allowed three hits and struck out four batters to earn the win and move to 12-2 on the season.
Rateliff and Wright each drove in a run to lead OCU at the dish.
Wright gave the Stars a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run to left field.
Oklahoma Wesleyan answered with a run of their own in the top of the sixth to tie the game at 1-1.
Lovelady blasted her second home run of the season with runners on first and third and one out in the bottom of the seventh to give OCU the 4-1 walk-off victory.
Rateliff struck out four batters and allowed one run on two hits in her second appearance of the season to move to 2-0.
Lovelady went 1-for-3 with three RBIs to lead the Stars at the plate.
OCU will return to action in a doubleheader against MidAmerica Nazarene at 2 p.m. Friday at Ann Lacy Stadium.
