The state Department of Education released a framework to help school districts reopen for the 2020-2021 school year.

The Return to Learn Oklahoma: A Framework for Reopening Schools document is built on four categories; school operations, academics and growth, whole child and family supports, and school personnel.

The framework includes a multiple considerations for how school districts can plan for contingencies in the upcoming school year and continued occurrences of COVID-19.

“Educators know students will experience greater learning losses this year, given that the ‘summer slide’ has been compounded by the unconventional ending of the spring term,” said State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister.
