Oklahoma City small forward Kevin Durant has been fined $25,000 for what the NBA referred to as a "menacing gesture" during the Thunder's 116-97 victory against Golden State on Thursday night.

The NBA league office announced the fine on Friday afternoon.

The gesture occurred late in the second quarter after a Russell Westbrook block translated into a monster dunk from Durant in transition on the other end.

After the slam, Durant did a throat-slashing motion and then put his hands together as if he was praying.

The Thunder is a half game ahead of San Antonio for the top spot in the Western Conference standings and owns a potential tie breaker against the Spurs with three games left in the regular season. OKC will face the Trailblazers at 9 p.m. (CST) in Portland on Friday night.
