Funeral Services Set For OKC Police Officer Chad Peery

Funeral services are set for Oklahoma City police officer Chad Peery.

Peery's funeral will be Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond.

Peery died Monday from injuries he suffered in a rollover crash in Seminole County on Sunday. The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. on Interstate 40, near Prague when the van Peery was traveling in had a blowout. The van careened off the roadway and flipped three times. Peery's four children and caretaker were injured.

In 2011, Peery was partially paralyzed after several men beat him up outside a bar. Peery officially went back to work at the Oklahoma City Police Department investigating cyber-crimes.

Chad Peery was 36 years old. In lieu of flowers, the Peery family requests donations be made to the Chad Peery Foundation for officers in distress and need as a result of injuries received in the line of duty.
