With everything going on in the world, we could all use a little good news. So on Tuesday, there was a happy ending at the hands of strangers. They saw a story here on News 9 about a victim of a hit-and-run accident, and decided, as Oklahomans often do, to help.

At his job at Liberty Tax, Aaven Ross always had a smile and a wave for strangers who passed by his corner on Penn and Heffner.
When we first met him two weeks ago, he was recovering from being hit by a car as he was riding his bike to work.
"He's like ‘do think 50 bucks will fix it?' I said ‘I don't know,' so he just gave me 50 bucks and said ‘are you sure you're alright?' I said, ‘I don't know, I don't know,'" Ross explained back on April 9.
The driver took off, and Ross was not alright. He ended up in the hospital. His bike was destroyed. Fifty bucks would not come close to buying a new one.
"He doesn't have a car, so his bike is his vehicle and when it was taken from him it was just breaking my heart every day to see him without it," his mother Ginger Baker said.
It seems those who saw Ross' story on News 9 felt the same. One stopped by Liberty Tax.
"She came by and gave me 100 bucks to pay off my bicycle," Ross on Tuesday said.
Others donated too and within a week, the folks at Sun and Ski called Ross' mom, and told her they had a brand new bike, bought and paid for.
Ross' mom would surprise him with it at work.
"I was speechless," Ross said.
"I started crying and he had tears in his eyes," Baker said.
"I was just shocked because I don't know who paid it off, just anonymous random people who saw the news," Ross said.
Strangers. Perhaps some of the same ones he would wave at every day.
"Whoever watched this I just want to say ‘thank you' for all you did," Ross said.
Ross' family says they still haven't found the man who hit him.
