Oklahoma State's football program has added a pair of players for the upcoming season with offensive lineman Colby Hegwood and cornerback Tyler Patmon set to join the Cowboys it was announced today by head coach Mike Gundy.
Hegwood comes to Stillwater after spending last year at Pearl River Community College in Mississippi. A native of Flowood, Miss., he was an all-district honoree at Northwest Rankin High School. Despite battling injuries during both his junior and senior seasons, Hegwood helped NRHS claim back-to-back Rankin County titles and participated in the Mississippi North vs. South All-Star Game.
Hegwood will have three years of eligibility remaining.
A three-year starter for Kansas, Patmon played in 35 career games for the Jayhawks and tallied 142 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 22 passes broken up and six interceptions. He led the team last year with three interceptions and his eight passes broken up ranked second. Additionally he registered the fourth-most tackles on the team with 58 in 2012.
A native of Round Rock, Texas, Patmon comes to the Cowboys after graduating from KU with one year of eligibility remaining
