Police Investigate Dead Body Found In NE OKC Field As Homicide

A homicide investigation is underway after police discover a dead body in a field in northeast Oklahoma City.

The body was found near N.E. 16th Street and Eastern Avenue around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. According to police, the body has been there for a couple of days. A missing persons report also was filed this morning on the victim.

Police are not releasing the victim's identity or cause of death.
