Edmond Police say it's uncommon to see the amount of criminal activity this community has experienced in the last week, especially in such a peaceful neighborhood.

An intruder disrupted that calm in the middle of the night. Edmond Police say four people including two kids were inside the home near Danforth and Boulevard when Marlow Wilson Jr. broke in early Saturday morning.
The homeowner shot and killed Wilson. Now police are working to determine what Wilson was doing just before the home invasion and if he acted alone.
This marks the third intruder at a home in Edmond in the last week. Now several homeowners are worried about their safety.
Jennifer Monroe with the Edmond Police Department recommends keeping your garage door closed and an alarm set.
The City of Edmond does not require a permit to install an alarm system. So it's difficult to track the number of homeowners adding extra securities in light of the recent rash of crimes, but ask anyone in this neighborhood and they will tell you they're now more aware.
In addition to an alarm system police recommend keeping your garage door shut and locked even when you are home.
Police have not said how the intruder got into this home but they expect to wrap up the investigation later this week.
