Plane Makes Hard Landing In El Reno

A plane went down hard and slid off a road Tuesday morning near Fort Reno.

It happened around 8:45 a.m. El Reno Police received several calls about a small aircraft going down near Interstate 40 and Route 66. When emergency crews arrived, they found the plane sitting in the grass.

The pilot was injured, but it's not known how seriously. Police have not said if any passengers were on board.

It's not clear what caused the accident.
