Fans across the country have had all eyes on Oklahoma City, watching the World Cup of Softball. But some younger fans had the opportunity to throw the ball with some of the players.
The U.S.A. softball team surprised patients at the Children's Center in Bethany. They all gathered at the hospital's "Field of Dreams" to play a friendly game of t-ball.
Organizers say it was a lot of fun, but the memories made on the field will last forever.
"It's incredible to have them here. We follow them on TV, and just to have them here to see our patients, our patients love visitors, so to have these girls come out and play an actual game with them is really a dream come true," Melissa Richey said.
The World Cup of Softball continues this weekend.
