Thieves targeted a church group helping with tornado victims. They managed to steal thousands of dollars' worth of construction equipment in the middle of the night from a site in Norman.

The relief crews are with the churches of Christ disaster response team. They've come from all over the country to help with tornado relief efforts and many of them here still can't believe that anyone would want to steal their equipment.

They were using the equipment in Moore as they try to clean up and level some of these houses. But sometime overnight, someone snuck onto the property at the Alameda Church of Christ in Norman where they were storing their equipment, and managed to get away with 10 wheelbarrows, 6 pressure washers, and 2 generators. In all that adds up to about 6 grand worth of stuff.
