Lawton Police have arrested a man accused of killing his wife in her home and then calling 911 for help.

Police received a call just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday saying a woman had been shot in her home in the 1100 block of N.W. Andrews. When officers arrived, they found 39-year-old Traci Young lying in the hallway. She'd been shot twice in the chest.

Paramedics rushed Young to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police found Young's ex-husband, 48-year-old Bryan Pierce, at the home. He told them he was the one who called 911. Officers arrested Pierce and booked him in the Lawton City Jail on a complaint of murder.

Police say Young and Pierce were divorced in May. Detectives are still investigating the case, and the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office is performing an autopsy on Young's body.
