Clothes Dryer Blamed For SW OKC House Fire

Late Thursday night, a family safely escaped a house fire near S.W. 53rd Street and Walker in Oklahoma City.

The house caught fire just after 11 p.m. The residents smelled smoke and called 911. When firefighters arrived, flames had engulfed the garage.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames, and no one was hurt.

The family believes a clothes dryer started the fire.
