Two friends who won $2 million in Wednesday's Powerball drawing claimed their winnings Friday at the Oklahoma Lottery headquarters in Oklahoma City.
Joy McBride actually bought the ticket, but she and her friend Judy Leyrer regularly play Powerball, and have an agreement to share any winnings.
McBride purchased the ticket at UN Food located at 9101 N. Council. She and Leyrer matched all five of the white balls and purchased the Power Play option, which increased their prize to $2 million.
The two friends recently booked a trip to Hawaii, and say they'll be using their newfound wealth to make sure they have a great time.
"We will definitely be upgrading to first class," said McBride. "The trip will be even more fun with our Powerball winnings."
The two women also plan to donate a portion of the money to their church, and share some of it with their families.
There were three winning tickets for the entire $448 million jackpot; two in New Jersey and one in Minnesota.
